ERA Roundtable event – The effects of COVID 19 on Executive Search

Wednesday 24th June 12pm-1pm BST

ERA Roundtable event – The effects of COVID-19 on Executive Research

The event is for Members and Non Members

Following the successful roundtable event for Members back in May looking at the impact of COVID-19 on the executive research and talent acquisition arena, we are now opening this up to non-members.

As we enter week 12 of lockdown, COVID-19 has swiftly made its impact on our health, the way we live, interact and how we work. After several weeks of lockdown and remote working, businesses are now grappling with how to move forward with the easing of lockdown, identifying and implementing new ways of working. As we evolve to adapt to the new “normal”, how is COVID-19 impacting the Executive Research and Talent Acquisition market? It may have caused significant challenge for the sector, but has it also created new opportunities and new ways of working? As an industry how can we adapt and support businesses, as well as each other moving forward?

This interactive roundtable event will give you the opportunity to engage with other Executive Research and Talent Acquisition members to understand how the Coronavirus has impacted others in the sector, as well as hear how talent companies and independents are adapting to the new world. We are keen to bring together those from different environments from corporate inhouse talent acquisition teams, through to executive search houses and independents to help shape a true picture of the landscape we now operate in.

The session, led by the ERA Committee, will pose the following topic headings and will give members the opportunity to share, discuss and listen to how the sector is evolving to this new environment. This sense check will also help to assist the ERA in understanding the challenges and opportunities the wider sector is facing and to help shape new training and support mechanisms moving forward.

To help people prepare for the session the topic headings will include:

  • What have been the main impacts of COVID-19 to your business?
  • How have you had to adapt to assist in engaging and identifying talent?
  • What have been the challenges and what will be the challenges for your business in the future, (i.e. business travel, employees working remotely, freeze on recruitment, developing new ways of working and areas of focus)
  • How have you adapted your technology? I.e. for interviews, meetings and engaging with candidates and clients? What have been the main technology challenges? What’s been working well for you?
  • What training and support needs have you identified over the last few weeks that could be supported by the ERA?

We would love for those that join to actively participate in the discussion. If you would like to send through in advance any questions or topics for participation then please email sarah@theera.org who can incorporate them into the schedule, otherwise we will look forward to you joining the conversation on the 24th June.
