“Humankind’s indelible mark on the planet has forever changed it. Some argue that we have entered a new era – the Anthropocene. The scars of nuclear testing, climate change, factory farming and heavy industry have changed our planet forever. At the same time, existential Megathreats – including climate change, war and global financial instability have made a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world even more so.
A world this unstable poses new challenges for leadership. The question becomes, how do leaders ensure they are not the factor making their organisations more likely to fail? Vijay will argue that this new world requires a different leadership approach to the command and control approaches of old.”
